Styling

Real human hair extensions can be treated in exactly the same way as your own hair. When left to dry naturally, real human hair extensions dry with the same natural kink or wave that most people's hair dries with. There are no restrictions with styling and both straightening irons and curling tongs can be used freely.

Synthetic hair extensions will typically melt if heated with straightening irons, curling tongs or hot rollers. However, synthetic hair comes in a variety of textures, from curls, spirals and soft waves to straight. And, unlike human hair, humidity will not affect it as the style is 'set' into the hair and with care can last for days.

Human hair will last longer than synthetic. Depending on the quality of care given to the extensions, they may last between 6 to 12 months. Synthetic hair extensions are a lower quality and even with good care will only last between 1 to 3 months.
